Any college students that are applying for scholarships, it is time to file for your FAFSA and get started. There are early deadlines you won't want to miss out on.  Don't hesitate to contact if you have any questions or need assistance!

We are working on ideas to connect our survivors and get assistance to them.  Visit us on Facebook!  If you would like a meeting in your area of the state, contact us.  We have survivors all over the state and will try to accommodate.  If you can host a location, that would be great...just contact us.

Check out Facebook "COPS Peeps"  You need to be invited into the group because it is private.  Just send me an email and I will get you in.  It is a forum for peer support.

Are you interested in a New Mexico retreat?  We are in the planning stages.  It will be at a minimal cost, and held in Red River.  We have room at this point for a total of 20 people.  If interested, email us at NM.COPS@yahoo.com.  Tentative time is in October 2011.

HANDS ON PROGRAMS click the link www.NationalCops.org/serv03.htm. Check out dates for Hands on programs. If you need any assistance in filling out.  There are deadlines for registration, so click the above link for information.  There is travel assistance available for a limited number of individuals if applied for early.

I encourage all families and co-workers to participate in these events. The programs themselves are funded by the National Chapter of COPS as well as many private corporations. The only expense to those attending is travel expense. If anyone knows of a business, organization or person that would be interested in providing funds to assist families, please contact us at NM.COPS@NewMexicoCOPS.org. We are a 501(c)3 non profit, so all donations are tax deductible.
